Is your Dryer a Fire Hazard?
What can we do for you?
Driving directions
The most important factor that determines how well your clothes dryer works, and most importantly the safety of your dryer, is the dryer exhaust vent. A poor vent will increase the drying time needed and cause increased power bills. A poor vent can also cause the dryer to breakdown, or pose a fire hazard. Vent repair or replacement is not expensive, will save money on electric or gas bills and prevent a possible fire risk.

The photo's below are of the inside of a dryer that was brought in for service due to "long drying times".
The problem in this case was a completely clogged dryer vent duct.
This was a serious fire hazard.

Lower access panel removed.
The filter housing on the floor in front of the dryer was almost completly blocked with lint.

Front panel and drum removed:
Here you can see the entire floor completely blanketed in highly flamable lint. The obect in the right side of the picture is the HEATER. Notice the burnt area? The heater has in fact been on fire.

After close inspection of the burnt layers of lint blanketing the heater assembly it was determined the heater had been on fire several times. This customer was indeed very lucky they did not have a serious fire.
